So true!

Last week Aaron came in for Donuts for Dad with Will and Bruce. Bruce came home from school Wednesday with this picture and was so proud of it. There is no one greater in his book than his Dad!

Deja Vu

The above pictures were taken Easter weekend 2010. The boys spent hours and hours that spring digging a huge hole and then a tunnel to connect it with another one. It kept them busy and I loved it!

Here we are - two years later in a new house with yet another huge hole. One of my friends told me she read a bucket list of things all kids should do and one of them was dig a hole to China. I guess these boys can cross that one off their lists because this makes two gigantic holes.
I love the hours they are spending together - working together with very limited fighting! Needless to say we have very dirty boys at night, but they are ready for bed after all that digging!
If my boys start speaking Chinese, I guess we will know they found China. Until then, I say, let them dig!

Wrestling

This year Justin decided to join the wrestling team. The team is huge and it was his first year so there was lots of competition. He had two hour practices every night after school and morning weigh-ins when he had meets. He wrestled in the 100-pound weight class all season.

We couldn't be more proud of Justin for sticking with wrestling this year. We know it was a lot of hard work, but he didn't ever complain at all. He enjoyed making new friends so much that he has decided to go out for track!

Bowling

Today Madelyn's pre-school class went bowling. She had so much fun hanging out with her friends from school and some of their moms.

Welcome, Spring!

We have had beautiful weather lately! Last night everyone was outside enjoying the sunshine. We have loved this mild winter, I'm just hoping it doesn't come in May!

All of the kids love jumping on the trampoline. Even Naomi does a good job jumping with the older kids.

We've been talking to Madelyn about taking off her training wheels, but I don't think she's quite ready for it yet. Soon...

It doesn't matter what Naomi does...she has the cutest little smile and loves life!

Derby Fun!

Saturday Will experienced his first Pinewood Derby race. He was pretty excited about it. Here he is a few races in and feeling pretty confident because his car is undefeated...so far!

The track with spectators on the side. The family who was in charge did an awesome job. They even had a tv set up for those who didn't want to sit on the sidelines.

There was one car that Will just couldn't quite beat so he won second place. He was still thrilled!

No doubt this cake was a big hit with all of the kids. Yep, made my the same family who set up the track. I especially love all of the little Lego spectators!
