Visitors

It's no secret we love to have company.  We were so excited to have my sister Beth and two of my nephews come (Kayden and Andy) for five days.  We packed a lot of fun into their short visit.  It started off the night they arrived with swimming and a bonfire.

The next day it was more swimming and a ropes course at Bays Mountain.  Here's a picture of us all at the beginning.  We started the course 28 feet in the air.

The course is intended for team building.  It was fun to work together as a family (and a couple of friends).
Anyone who knows Elizabeth knows how afraid this girl is of about everything.  She did awesome!
Here we are starting the second level at 40 feet high.

This is a view of the zipline that was on the other side of the ropes course.  Very fun!  Bruce, Madelyn, and Naomi were able to do the zipline portion with us and loved it.

Saturday we went to the Natural Tunnel in Virginia.  The kids thought it was pretty cool to ride a chair lift down near the tunnel.

The bright sun washed us out, but here we are in front of the tunnel.  It's about 800 feet long.  We couldn't walk in it because there are about 10 trains that pass through it daily.  During the winter they hang lights up and I've heard it's really cool.

Monday we went to Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlingburg
This was easily our little girls favorite part of the aquarium.  They had a mermaid show that the girls were mesmerized by.

Aaron took the day off work to be with us.  We tried to do a lot of our activities in the evening so he didn't have to miss out on all the fun.  I love it when we can do things together as a family.
It wasn't all swimming and sightseeing while they were here.  These boys got in plenty of xbox bonding time too.
Naomi counted down the days for days before Beth came.  She kept telling me "Beth calls me Mimi and she loves me!"  She wanted to be by Beth's side most every second she was here.  I'm so grateful for the memories we were able to make these past few days.
