This time of year is my favorite with all of the fresh produce. Last week we froze four bushels of yummy sweet corn. The kids were great helpers and we got through it in a couple of days.
This week we picked peaches at a local tree farm. Initially we picked 75 pounds, but the kids begged for a few more pounds so we would have plenty to eat so we picked another 15 pounds. They have big plans for these peaches: canning, freezing, and peach jam. This translates to work, work, and more work for me.

I love this time of year too...I only like to can with my kids now. If not TO MUCH WORK!
