With the craziness of life lately,we decided to stay home this weekend instead of going to Ohio as we usually do for Labor Day. We were invited to a neighborhood BBQ on Sunday and a BBQ with church friends today. It was great making some new friends and getting to know people better.
Elizabeth made this bundt cake and insisted she put a flower in the middle of it. She was very proud for making it (almost) by herself.

Elizabeth planned this dance for the girls on Saturday. They practiced that afternoon and made tickets for the show. They picked the flowers so they could each have a bouquet after the dance. Elizabeth accompanied the girls on the piano. These girls have so much fun together and are 110% girl!
Today the weather was a chilly 65 degrees. Thankfully, the pool was heated so the kids were pretty comfortable in the water. They were freezing when they got out. Notice none of the adults were willing to brave the water. Now it's back to the grind and no more vacation until Thanksgiving...
